Community Contact entails enabling contact between separated families, often between non-resident parents and their children
Community Contact entails enabling contact between separated families, often between non-resident parents and their children, at a range of venues where they are able to participate in activities and spend time together in an enjoyable yet safe environment. Families engaging in this service are able to gain experiences that they may not have the chance to do without the service being provided to them and build positive memories together.
Community contacts enable children to have a fun day out seeing their parent/family member in a more natural environment and do ‘normal’ things, such as eating lunch in a cafe, or visiting the beach, therefore strengthening the bond between them, and building trust.
Observations are taken within this type of contact and notes are recorded similarly to a supervised contact.
